Rimon

Rimon: The Minnesota Jewish Arts Council promotes and enhances Jewish identity through arts and culture, supports arts and artists who broadly explore Jewish themes, and assists the greater Jewish community in developing a collaborative involvement with the arts. Rimon is an initiative of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.

JCES

Jewish Community Education Services

Jewish Community Education Services (JCES), an initiative of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation, provides community-wide professional development programming and training for Jewish educators in the Twin Cities. JCES maintains the Professional Development Resource Center and serves as liaison to community education endeavors.  Administration of educational awards, including the Vivian Mann Educator of the Year Award, the Grinspoon-Steinhardt Award, and the Kane Family Scholarship Awards, is overseen by JCES.

Women Embrace Rosh Chodesh

Women’s association with the new moon dates far back in history. Rosh Chodesh has long been considered a special holiday for women. According to legend, the holiday was a reward given to the women of Israel because they refused to surrender their jewelry for the creation of the golden calf after the Exodus from Egypt.
