Jewish Community Action (JCA) Responds to GAMC Initiative
On Tuesday, January 26, JCA hosted a forum regarding the loss of General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) funding. GAMC provides health care to Minnesotans who make less than $8,100 per year. Governor Pawlenty's line-item vetoed and unallotted GAMC. As a result, 30,000 Minnesotans stand to lose health care coverage early in 2010. The forum addressed what can be done in response.
