About Us
Chaired by Drs. Howard Gilbert and Paul Schanfield, the Twin Cities Maimonides Society is an affinity group for Jewish physicians, dentists, veterinarians and students affiliated through the Minneapolis Jewish Federation and United Jewish Fund & Council of St. Paul (UJFC). The Society encourages and strengthens community among society members, provides programming and public service opportunities for tikkun olam (repair of the world), and raises money for the local and overseas Jewish communities through the Federation and UJFC. Physician's Exchange
Are you interested in traveling to Israel and making a difference?
The Physician’s Exchange program provides an opportunity for local physicians to travel to Israel and volunteer their time and expertise at the Baruch Padeh Medical Center in Poriyah hospital in Israel's Kinneret region.   Physicians can volunteer from one to six weeks and will be provided with a two bedroom apartment and meals at the hospital.  For more information about this great opportunity, contact Brian Herstig at 952-417-2348, bherstig@mplsfed.org.
