WHAT IS A CHINESE AUCTION AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

A Chinese Auction is really many raffles going on at once, each with its own winner. With so many raffle prizes your odds of winning are great! It works like this - You bid on multiple prizes by placing tickets with your name and number in the boxes attached to the prize of your choice. Each item is displayed at the event along with its ticket price. Prizes are divided into categories in denominations of $10, $15, $25, $35, and $50. You decide which prizes to bid on, and how many tickets to place in each box. The more tickets you decide to bid on an item, the greater the chances at winning the prize! At the conclusion of bidding, one ticket is drawn from each prize box. The lucky winner of that prize is the owner of that ticket. Most of the prizes can be taken home on the evening of the event. Winners need not be present.
